Yocan Evolve & Evolve Plus Wax Pen Review
It’s time for another Yocan injection magazine, this time for its inexpensive wax pen model. Evolve and Evolve Plus offer great success with a double quartz coil. The regular Evolve is a thin, powerful launcher, and the main attraction of Evolve Plus comes from the integrated silicon jug for carrying concentrates (and an even larger battery). Evolve has been on the market since the beginning of 2016 and it is certainly easy to use, which is an advantage but it is also very difficult to handle in terms of temperature. Does the Evolve stack-up against instant classics such as Zeus Thunder 2 or Dr. Dabber Aurora? Let’s check it out!
Evolve Plus Wax Pen Review
Advantages
- Very easy to use
- Integrated suction container
- High-temperature production
Disadvantages
- Vapor may be too difficult for some
In Terms of Quality

Construction Quality
For a value based wax pen, Evolve is pretty well done and Evolve Plus is able to increase a little more. The Evolve works on a single 650mAh which is quite similar to the wax pen. Evolve Plus works with an 1100mAh battery, which is even more successful. Evolve and Evolve Plus are equipped with an additional atomizer when you run the power on the ground.
The chamber for Evolve is of a decent size, but if you really want to recharge it, the bowl for Evolve Plus seems to be nearly three times bigger. There is also a magnet cap for the coil that reduces the effect of splashing and keeps the device cleaner and prevents the nozzle from becoming too hot. This type of lid also helps to cool the vapor just before reaching the lips. In general these are decent manufactured devices and should be up to a good use.

Vapor Quality
Since the quartz double coil configurations have become quite normal for wax-pens these days, Evolves vapor quality is what you expect from such a device. There is no airflow setting, so be prepared for rig-style strokes with the potential to make cookies as a rookie. Unfortunately vapor can become very hard, so be warned too hard before beating. For best results, press and hold the power button for 3 to 5 seconds while pulling, and then tap the power button lightly to see how difficult the drawing can be.

Watch and feel
Evolve and Evolve-Plus tend to look like very good designs. The small and pretty evolution fits perfectly into the palm of the hand, and the most elaborate Evolve Plus gives a little weight. For the Evolve there are a number of colors, including:
- Black
- Blue
- Orange
- Red
- Silver
However, Evolve-Plus has a larger chunking structure, which feels a little more stable during handling, but is also a bit bulky when handling. Basically, if you are looking for something smaller and more fun to handle, then the Evolve will match the bill if you are willing to sacrifice some of the interesting manipulations for more energy, Evolve Plus will do the trick.
-
Discretion
Evolve is quite similar to many popular designs designed by electronic cigarettes, which should allow a fairly unobtrusive use throughout life. Evolve and Evolve Plus also develop in shorter races, which is good to keep the family of vapor clouds silent. In general, if you can fire the vapor, these devices should be discreet enough to stay in your hand.
-
User Friendliness
The use of Evolve is quite simple because it uses only one control knob and a fixed temperature setting. If you want to adjust the temperature, the only thing you can really do is keep the power button to keep the coils warm. Otherwise, the Evolves are easy to use simple. The nozzle integrates magnetically, and when you get the Evolve Plus, there is a fresh silicone extract container at the bottom of the device.
-
Portability
As with most wax pens, Evolve is designed to make it easy for people, the regular development should be pretty good in most bags, although the larger form of Evolve Plus can be a major challenge in this area. The battery life is quite strong for relatively light users, which usually takes about one day or more of the correct usage. The charging time should be two hours or less, and when you get Evolve Plus, you can use the pass-through charging capacity.
Summary
In general, Evolve and Evolve-Plus are exactly what they do. This is certainly a decent reader for people who are currently starting with wax-pens. It is fairly easy to work with just one type of atomizer, without temperature control, so you really cannot wait too long. It hits very hard from the bat, so while the installation of Evolve can be a beginner friendly, the hits themselves go a little harder. It is recommended to explore the available options. Something like the Zeus Thunder 2 gives you more taste and texture, while something like Dr. Dabber Aurora will give you more control and ease with its power. Anyway, Evolve is not great on Pops, but it can be very good for some people.
