Mod or Vape Don’t Fire Up Any More – What to Do?
Sometimes your vape mod dies mysteriously and you have no idea what caused them to go from working perfectly to not working at all. Well, you’ll be glad to know that there is not much rocket science involved and all you need to make your mod go back to work is know the following few features.
It is more likely possible that our list of lookouts will help in making your mod work again.
Factors Affecting The Mod’s Working
-
IS THE DEVICE EVEN ON?
A possibility always exists that your mod is not turned on. To avoid this, simply press the power switch 5 times consecutively and also don’t forget to refer to the manual of your mod for further help.
-
IS THE BATTERY INSTALLED PROPERLY OR AT ALL?
You should know your mod. Is it working on batteries? Yes? Then you should check if they are still alive and work. Because such mods don’t work at all if the batteries are not installed or inserted properly.
-
DOES THE BATTERY HAS ENOUGH CHARGE?
It is pertinent to say that we need to keep our batteries charged all the time to run our mods. Devices which use internal batteries are mostly charged through a micro USB cable. You should check if the cable is inserted properly. If it is inserted and the device is still not responding, the next thing to check is that is the cable in working condition? You can try replacing the cable and/or the power brick with another one as well.
We would recommend that you charge your battery cells using an external battery charging device because to avoid transportation hazards, most removable cells are shipped with less or no charge at all.
-
WILL YOUR BATTERIES LAST ANY LONGER THAN THEY ALREADY HAVE?
We should know that everything has a lifespan. That includes our rechargeable batteries as well. The mods which come with replaceable batteries give you an advantage of replacing the batteries. But you will need to buy a completely new and fresh mod if your mod is the one with a battery installed on the inside.
-
IS THE BATTERY PROPERLY SEALED?
Sometimes the style of the battery cover also determines whether the battery is properly placed or not. So take care of the battery cover as well to ensure the proper function of your mod.
-
IS THE MOD IN STEALTH MODE OR HAVING LOW BRIGHTNESS?
Some mods cannot perform properly if their settings have been changed automatically or accidentally. This can cause them to stay turned on while displaying an off status on the screen. Other times, few mods go into their built-in stealth mode. In stealth mode, the screen remains off and the mod is working just fine. Maybe the low brightness of the screen can also be the reason of your false assumption.
You can always fix such a scenario by fixing the screen’s brightness or by playing with the stealth mode setting of your mod. Your user manual can be of great help here.
-
MAYBE THE ATOMIZER DIED
If the mod is not in a proper connection with the atomizer, the effect can be seen as a mod, not in working mode. Usually, in such cases, the mod will either prompt a message of “no atomizer” on the screen or it will just not work.
This problem can occur when there is a defective or old coilhead. Replacing the coilhead might get you out of the problem.
-
IS THE CONNECTION SMOOTH AND WITHOUT ANY GLITCHES?
Keeping the mod’s pin clean is very important because sometimes the e-liquid seeps down and covers the mod’s pin which can obstruct the mod from recognizing the atomizer/tank.
-
IS THE TANK OR MOD’S PIN RECESSED?
The connection can be sometimes broken due to a recessed tank centre-pin or a battery centre-pin. If the tank has fallen from your hands or you have been repeatedly screwing the tank over weeks, this can occur. Manual adjustment for your device’s pin is required here. If your warranty for the device is still valid, our recommendation will be contacting your provider before you try to fix the problem yourself.
-
WAS THERE ANY WATER OR PHYSICAL DAMAGE?
Permanent damage occurs when there is too much liquid used or the mod has fallen from your hands. If this has happened then you should not think of claiming your warranty because it is not valid anymore and you should look for some other new device.
It is better to first visit your local vape store if you are in some kind of doubt. Probably the store staff can help you in troubleshooting your problem and letting you know what is wrong with your device.
